Bar-Humbug is in the books!

A few years back we recorded this C.D. in 3 days. It was recorded to help raise money for a friend in need. Fran Murray was that friend. Fran was a wonderful Woman and Mother. That Christmas was a special one, she told me we helped keep her strong in her fight against Cancer. Fran passed a away, but her memory lives on. The Brotherhood recorded a video for "Christmas in the Caribbean" and still does fund raisers for St Judes hospital for Children with Cancer. Bar-humbug is no longer in print but is still available in Mp3 form at most digital web-sites pick up a copy or a song. Think of how lucky you are!

I remember looking out my window at the smoke pouring out of the first tower like a tire fireI remember watching the second plane hit with my naked eyeI remember the panic on my Mothers(who lived through the depression and WWII) face when she arrived at the doorI remember putting my wife, kids and mother in a car in a state of confusionI remember seeing them collapse through my windshieldThenI remembered one of my dearest friends told me he was working on the roof of the towers the night beforeI remembered all the friends and family I knew working on wall streetI remembered thinking of all the friends and family who were firemen being called to duty as the fire alarms rang in the streetsI remembered I loved them allI remember seeing some come home covered from head to toe in ashI remember finding out who was aliveI remember Fighter planes darting over my home for hoursI remember most of allRay York and I laughing in the Dolly BarRich Allen filming Q-south at the Lion's DenI rememberperforming with Chris from "Riboflavin D" on a demo tape for his bandThere were many more memories of faces and names of people I knew or my friends who knew someone else. But all I can do is Remember....and say this so that They are never forgotten....Love each-other now...don't wait....with all of your soul.....Walker

Q-South Run EP

In 1994 Q-south released our first EP called "Run" all the songs from the EP made it on to our debut C.D. on Times Square called simply "Q-South" The songs on the EP were raw and had guts, Only 500 or so were made, I do not have any left, but I'm sure you can find one if you sniff around E-Bay.

The name of the band comes from this novel by John Fante. There really was no band in the beginning, I asked musicains that I knew to contribute to a C.D. that became "Almost Homeless" sticking with the rotating group of musicians allowed for the mixing of styles. I have no idea who will play on the next one, but Eddy Joe and Ron Zabrocki have offered their skills and it seems like a good place to start. The past becomes old photograph's of people I once knew and I give thanks most of it(the past) is finished,I prefer to look ahead.

We are all here to go.

On a birthday, one has the tendency to examine one's life. I am never satisfied. The writer Charles Bukowski's tombstone and epitaph say it best, devoid of pretense and typical flowery poetic language. I'd like to make a toast "Here is to the Genuinely Disatisfied". I going to Aqueduct and try to forget about all the ambitious go-getters. Remember "horses don't bet on people and neither do I"

Billy Jack

I just finished watching the Billy Jack Collection given to me by a friend. It reminded me of how much I hate Politicians, Corporate America and Ambitious Go-Getters. Tom Loughlin www.BillyJack.com was and is a genuine American Hero and middle finger to all the shit thrown at us, especially in a time of war. What a great film! Keep on Keeping on, and do your own thing. I wish this guy was President.
